I AM HOSTING A WORKSHOP
In association with the London Street Photography Festival
This is London
This two-day weekend workshop will help you with your approach to photographing people in public spaces.
Workshop ticket price includes pub lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
I will email a brief one week before the workshop and be available online one week after the workshop to answer any questions or concerns and deliver further feedback if required.
10 - 1pm: Introduction
10 - 11am: Review
11 - 1pm: Shoot
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
London lovers, capable confident camera handlers, aspiring professional photographers, dedicated hobbyists, thinkers and beer drinkers (wine and hard spirit drinkers also welcome.) This workshop is suitable for beginner and intermediate photographers in posession of a Digital SLR, bridge or micro-four thirds camera.
Working closely with participants you can expect to improve your approach to photographing people in public spaces. The workshop is designed to show how to shoot with speed, confidence, respect, humour and above all, to have fun. You will become competent in creating bright clear photographs whatever the weather often using flash. I will demonstrate how to document a familiar London location in a new and exciting way, how to develop strong themes within the work, and how to build a project and edit with skill. Each participant will receive a detailed critique on the work produced.
I HAVE AN EXHIBITION;
England Uncensored, will be exhibited at the Perscopio festival of photojournalism at Vitoria-Gasteiz in northern Spain from late October to early December 2011.
